The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest आखिरकार theatres में आ चुकी है। Sidharth Malhotra और Tamannaah Bhatia की यह फिल्म Indian folklore, supernatural mystery, fantasy, action और Bihar की cultural roots को एक साथ लेकर आती है।
कागज़ पर The Vvaan का concept काफी powerful लगता है—एक रहस्यमयी forbidden forest, Van Devi की mythology, Chhath Puja, supernatural powers, mystical tiger और एक ऐसा आदमी जो इन सब बातों पर विश्वास ही नहीं करता।
और फिल्म के एक बड़े हिस्से तक यही combination काम भी करता है। Problem तब शुरू होती है जब The Vvaan एक साथ बहुत कुछ बनने की कोशिश करने लगती है। पहले half की mystery धीरे-धीरे एक बड़े supernatural adventure में बदल जाती है, जहां comedy, songs, mythology, action और explanations एक-दूसरे से compete करने लगते हैं।
तो बड़ा सवाल है—क्या The Vvaan सच में worth watching है? Sidharth Malhotra और Tamannaah Bhatia की performance कैसी है? और आखिर में होता क्या है?

The Vvaan Story – बिना Spoiler के
फिल्म की कहानी Rishi यानी Sidharth Malhotra के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। Rishi एक modern और practical सोच रखने वाला आदमी है, जो अपनी पत्नी Mamta यानी Tamannaah Bhatia के साथ रहता है। दोनों की जिंदगी में एक emotional struggle भी है—वे parents बनना चाहते हैं।
इसी बीच Rishi को अपने ancestral village Bihar वापस जाना पड़ता है। यहां मामला उसकी पुश्तैनी जमीन और उससे जुड़े एक deal का है, लेकिन यही जमीन एक पवित्र और रहस्यमयी जंगल से जुड़ी हुई है।
Rishi के लिए शुरुआत में मामला simple है—जमीन है, उसकी value है और उससे जुड़ा फैसला practical तरीके से लिया जाना चाहिए। लेकिन गांव वालों के लिए यह सिर्फ जमीन नहीं है।
इस forest का connection Van Devi से है और गांव वालों का मानना है कि इस पवित्र जगह के साथ छेड़छाड़ करना बहुत बड़ी गलती साबित हो सकती है। Rishi इन बातों को superstition मानकर ignore करता है।
और फिर शुरू होता है असली खेल। कुछ ऐसी घटनाएं होने लगती हैं जिन्हें Rishi के लिए logic से explain करना मुश्किल हो जाता है। यहीं से The Vvaan genuinely interesting होने लगती है।
First Half है The Vvaan की सबसे बड़ी Strength
फिल्म का पहला half दूसरे half के मुकाबले ज्यादा engaging लगता है। Director शुरुआत में हर supernatural चीज का answer तुरंत नहीं देता। Mystery को धीरे-धीरे build होने दिया गया है।
Forest forbidden क्यों है? Van Devi का असली connection क्या है? गांव वाले इस जंगल से इतना डरते क्यों हैं? और Rishi की family का इस पूरी कहानी से क्या रिश्ता है?
यही सवाल audience की curiosity बनाए रखते हैं। Dense forest, अंधेरा, धुंध, religious imagery और mystical tiger का इस्तेमाल फिल्म को एक अलग atmosphere देता है।
The Vvaan सबसे ज्यादा effective तब लगती है जब वह अपने जंगल के रहस्य को रहस्य ही रहने देती है।
Bihar और Chhath Puja फिल्म को देते हैं अलग Identity
The Vvaan की सबसे interesting चीजों में से एक इसका Bihar backdrop और Chhath Puja है। Film makers चाहते तो कहानी को किसी generic fictional village में set कर सकते थे, लेकिन Bihar की cultural identity फिल्म को एक अलग flavour देती है।
खासकर Chhath Puja से जुड़े scenes emotional और visually attractive दोनों लगते हैं। Indian folklore पर बनी फिल्मों की सबसे बड़ी ताकत तभी सामने आती है जब उनकी mythology उस जगह की मिट्टी, traditions, rituals और लोगों की आस्था से naturally जुड़ी हुई महसूस हो।
Sidharth Malhotra की Performance कैसी है?
Sidharth Malhotra as Rishi फिल्म का बड़ा हिस्सा अपने कंधों पर लेकर चलते हैं। Rishi शुरुआत में supernatural beliefs को seriously नहीं लेता। उसके लिए logic सबसे ऊपर है। लेकिन जैसे-जैसे कहानी आगे बढ़ती है, उसे ऐसी चीजों का सामना करना पड़ता है जो उसकी सोच को challenge करती हैं।
Action और physical sequences में Sidharth convincing लगते हैं, लेकिन character के emotional transformation को screenplay थोड़ा और depth दे सकता था।
Performance अच्छी है, लेकिन writing उनके character को पूरी तरह खुलने का मौका नहीं देती।
Tamannaah Bhatia की Performance
Tamannaah Bhatia फिल्म में Mamta का किरदार निभाती हैं, जो Rishi की wife है। Mamta की emotional journey motherhood की इच्छा और उसकी आस्था से जुड़ी हुई है।
खासकर Chhath Puja वाले portions में Tamannaah emotional impact create करती हैं। लेकिन उनके character में काफी potential होने के बावजूद screenplay उन्हें उतना space नहीं देती जितना दिया जा सकता था।
Tamannaah sincere हैं, लेकिन Mamta का character underused महसूस होता है।
Sunil Grover और Maniesh Paul
Sunil Grover का Deepak वाला darker avatar interesting है क्योंकि यह उनके commonly seen comic image से अलग direction में जाता है। वहीं Maniesh Paul comedy relief लेकर आते हैं।
Problem comedy होने में नहीं है। Problem उसकी timing और placement में है। जब फिल्म supernatural tension create कर रही होती है और उसी दौरान comedy आ जाती है, तो कई बार बना हुआ atmosphere कमजोर पड़ जाता है।
Visuals, VFX और Background Score
Visual level पर The Vvaan ambitious दिखाई देती है। Forest के कई shots atmospheric हैं। Mist, darkness, fire, religious symbolism, mystical tiger और Chhath Puja visuals फिल्म को visually interesting बनाते हैं।
लेकिन जैसे-जैसे कहानी बड़े supernatural action की तरफ जाती है, VFX पर dependence भी बढ़ती जाती है। कुछ VFX scenes अच्छे लगते हैं, जबकि कुछ जगह fantasy artificial दिखाई देने लगती है।
Second Half में कहां बिगड़ती है The Vvaan?
The Vvaan का concept उसके screenplay से ज्यादा strong है।
शुरुआत में हमारे पास already एक interesting setup है—sacred forest, Van Devi, ancient beliefs, supernatural mystery और एक sceptical protagonist। इतना material एक gripping thriller बनाने के लिए काफी था।
लेकिन second half में फिल्म लगातार नई layers जोड़ने लगती है—more mythology, more explanation, more action, more comedy और more backstory.
First half सवाल पैदा करता है। Second half हर सवाल का equally satisfying जवाब नहीं दे पाता।
क्या The Vvaan डरावनी फिल्म है?
अगर आप एक full-fledged horror movie expect कर रहे हैं, तो expectations थोड़ा control करके जाएं। यह pure horror film नहीं है।
इसे supernatural fantasy thriller with folklore and horror elements कहना ज्यादा सही होगा। कुछ forest scenes eerie हैं और supernatural imagery tension create करती है, लेकिन बाद में फिल्म horror से ज्यादा fantasy और supernatural action की तरफ चली जाती है।
क्या The Vvaan, Kantara या Tumbbad जैसी है?
Comparison होना obvious है क्योंकि इन फिल्मों में Indian folklore, faith, mythology और supernatural elements देखने को मिलते हैं। लेकिन The Vvaan को सीधे Kantara या Tumbbad जैसा मानना सही नहीं होगा।
The Vvaan ज्यादा mainstream Bollywood fantasy-adventure है, जिसमें folklore के साथ romance, comedy, songs और action भी शामिल हैं। और यही इसकी strength भी है और weakness भी।

आखिर Forest का असली मामला क्या है?
Rishi शुरुआत में गांव वालों की supernatural beliefs को seriously नहीं लेता। उसके लिए ancestral property एक practical और financial matter है। लेकिन गांव वालों के लिए वही forest Van Devi और उनकी आस्था से जुड़ी पवित्र जगह है।
धीरे-धीरे साफ होता है कि forest सिर्फ movie का scary background नहीं है। यह nature, faith और उस चीज की protection का symbol है जिसे इंसानी greed सिर्फ property समझ रही है।
The Vvaan Climax Explained
Climax तक आते-आते Rishi के लिए यह कहना possible नहीं रह जाता कि गांव में हो रही हर चीज सिर्फ superstition है। वह खुद उन consequences का सामना करता है जो sacred forest के साथ छेड़छाड़ से जुड़े हुए हैं।
Forest सिर्फ बेचने या develop करने वाली property नहीं है। यह एक inherited responsibility भी है।
Rishi शुरुआत में ownership, पैसा और logic के नजरिए से चीजों को देखता है, लेकिन उसकी supernatural journey इसी सोच को challenge करती है। Climax में फिल्म faith, nature, ancestral responsibility और human greed को connect करने की कोशिश करती है।
Idea काफी powerful है। Problem उसके execution में है।
The Vvaan Ending Explained: आखिर Ending का मतलब क्या है?
Ending का सबसे important हिस्सा Rishi की सोच में आया बदलाव है। शुरुआत में ancestral land उसके लिए essentially family property है। लेकिन पूरी supernatural journey के बाद film एक अलग idea सामने रखती है।
हर inheritance सिर्फ ownership नहीं होती। कुछ inheritance responsibility भी होती है।
Nature सिर्फ commodity नहीं है।
हर belief को सिर्फ logic से measure नहीं किया जा सकता।
Ancestral land के साथ सिर्फ अधिकार नहीं, जिम्मेदारी भी जुड़ी हो सकती है।
क्या The Vvaan 2 आएगी?
Film की Van Devi mythology और supernatural world को future में expand करने की possibilities हैं। लेकिन sequel की possibility और official confirmation अलग चीजें हैं।
जब तक makers officially The Vvaan 2 announce नहीं करते, इसे confirmed sequel नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।

Sidharth Malhotra physical portions में convincing हैं। Tamannaah Bhatia emotional sincerity लेकर आती हैं। Forest के कई visuals अच्छे हैं।
सबसे अच्छी बात यह है कि फिल्म Indian regional folklore को mainstream fantasy cinema में इस्तेमाल करने की कोशिश करती है।
The Vvaan में क्या कमजोर है?
सबसे बड़ी कमजोरी है screenplay। Film के पास अच्छे ideas बहुत हैं, लेकिन हर idea को equally develop करने का समय नहीं है।
Second half crowded हो जाता है। कुछ comedy scenes tension तोड़ते हैं। Songs pacing को affect करते हैं। Mythology को जरूरत से ज्यादा explain किया जाता है और VFX quality भी हर जगह consistent नहीं रहती।
एक बहुत शानदार folklore thriller इस concept में मौजूद थी, लेकिन फिल्म हर समय उस potential तक नहीं पहुंच पाती।
क्या The Vvaan देखने लायक है?
अगर आपको Indian mythology, folklore, supernatural fantasy, mystery और culturally rooted stories पसंद हैं, तो The Vvaan आपकी curiosity जरूर जगाएगी।
लेकिन अगर आप Tumbbad जैसी controlled storytelling या Kantara जैसी rooted intensity expect कर रहे हैं, तो second half आपको थोड़ा disappoint कर सकता है।
The Vvaan failed experiment नहीं है। यह एक interesting experiment है जो अपने पूरे potential तक नहीं पहुंच पाता।

The Vvaan इसी potential को explore करने की कोशिश करती है। इसका Bihar backdrop, Chhath Puja, Van Devi mythology और mysterious forest फिल्म को अलग identity देते हैं।
लेकिन screenplay अपने strongest elements पर पूरी तरह भरोसा नहीं करती। Mystery को और deepen करने की बजाय second half में फिल्म explanations, comedy और बड़े supernatural confrontations की तरफ ज्यादा चली जाती है।
Sidharth Malhotra watchable हैं। Tamannaah Bhatia sincere हैं। Visuals कई जगह impressive हैं और cultural backdrop genuinely refreshing लगता है। लेकिन इतने interesting concept को और tight screenplay तथा ज्यादा impactful climax मिलना चाहिए था।
CineReview Bottom Line: The Vvaan एक ambitious 3/5 folklore-fantasy thriller है। इसका Bihar-rooted concept, atmospheric first half और sincere performances इसकी strengths हैं, लेकिन crowded screenplay, inconsistent VFX और overstuffed second half इसे उस level की memorable supernatural film बनने से रोकते हैं जिसकी इसके concept में पूरी potential थी।
