Toxic Adult Scenes: Intimate Scenes, Censor Board Cuts & Uncut Version. By:- RAJANI KANT
At Cinereview.in, we believe that every film has a story beyond what appears on the screen. Whether it's a massive blockbuster, an underrated indie gem, a timeless classic, or an experimental masterpiece, every piece of cinema deserves thoughtful appreciation and honest criticism. Our mission is to create a platform where movie lovers can discover genuine reviews, meaningful analysis, and engaging discussions about the world of cinema.
At CineReview, we're making a bold prediction: ₹100 crore worldwide gross on Day 1 is possible.
This is a projection, not a confirmed collection. But considering Yash's pan-India popularity, the film's enormous release scale and the early booking response, the number is worth discussing.
Advance booking for Toxic opened on August 21, ahead of its August 26 theatrical release.
Early reports indicate that the film sold around 85,000 tickets and generated approximately ₹4.10 crore in gross advance bookings within hours. Karnataka has emerged as one of the strongest markets, which isn't surprising given Yash's enormous fan following there.
The important point isn't simply the money already collected.
It's the speed at which tickets are being sold.
A strong first few hours of advance booking can create a powerful opening-day chain reaction, especially when a film has a major star and a large number of shows.
And Toxic certainly has both.
Let's make one thing clear.
We are not predicting ₹100 crore India net.
That's a completely different target.
The CineReview prediction is:
The potential comes from several factors.
Yash isn't entering the market as an unknown actor.
The success of the KGF franchise transformed him into a pan-India theatrical star.
His audience now extends well beyond Karnataka, and that gives Toxic the ability to generate revenue across multiple Indian markets and overseas territories simultaneously.
For a ₹100 crore worldwide opening, that's crucial.
One market can't do it alone.
The film needs multiple markets to contribute strongly.
Another major advantage is the reported scale of the release.
Toxic is targeting a 12,000-plus-screen worldwide release, according to reports.
That gives the film enormous revenue-generating capacity.
More screens can mean:
More shows
Higher ticket availability
Greater audience access
Stronger overseas penetration
More premium-format screenings
Larger opening-day capacity
Of course, having thousands of screens doesn't guarantee that they will be full.
But it gives Toxic the opportunity to collect at a level that a smaller release simply cannot.
The CBFC has reportedly cleared Toxic with an A certificate and no cuts, while requesting certain word changes and warnings.
The film is also reported to have a runtime of more than three hours.
At first, an A certificate may sound like bad news for the box office.
But Toxic was never being presented as a traditional family entertainer.
Its title itself says:
A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
The adult certification could actually reinforce the film's dark gangster-world image.
And for Yash fans who have been waiting for another intense theatrical experience after KGF, that could increase curiosity rather than reduce it.
Awarapan 2 has already shown that nostalgia and emotional connection can bring audiences into theatres in a major way.
Toxic is approaching the box office from a completely different direction.
Awarapan 2 has nostalgia.
Toxic has scale and Yash.
That's what makes the comparison interesting.
Awarapan 2 reportedly opened at around ₹21.89 crore India net.
For Toxic, anything comfortably above ₹25 crore India net would represent a strong start.
But our prediction goes considerably higher.
Based on the current advance-booking momentum, Yash's pan-India pull and the reported worldwide release scale, our current projection is:
| Metric | CineReview Prediction |
|---|---|
| India Gross | ₹65–75 crore |
| Overseas Gross | ₹25–35 crore |
| Worldwide Gross | ₹90–110 crore |
| Central Worldwide Prediction | ₹100 crore |
This is CineReview's speculative prediction, not an official or reported collection.
The final result will depend on occupancy, ticket prices, number of shows, overseas performance and audience response.
This is where things become interesting.
To reach ₹100 crore worldwide, Toxic doesn't necessarily need every show to be sold out.
It needs a combination of:
Strong India opening + strong Karnataka performance + healthy Hindi-market contribution + powerful overseas numbers + premium ticket pricing.
Yash's existing fan base can provide the initial push.
The question is whether general audiences join the celebration.
Because fan shows can create headlines.
But walk-in audiences create records.
There's one factor that no advance-booking number can predict.
The movie.
A massive opening can be generated through hype, star power and advance sales.
A long theatrical run requires audience satisfaction.
If Toxic receives excellent word-of-mouth, the ₹100 crore opening could become just the beginning.
But if the content divides audiences, the film may struggle to maintain momentum after the first day.
That's why the opening weekend will be just as important as Day 1.
Here's the more aggressive possibility.
If Toxic gets an exceptional response across India and overseas, the film could potentially move beyond the ₹100 crore mark.
Our current upper range is:
And if everything goes perfectly, even that number could be challenged.
But CineReview is keeping ₹100 crore as the central prediction rather than jumping immediately to an unrealistic ₹125–150 crore figure.
We'd rather make an aggressive prediction that still has a logical basis.
For the ₹100 crore prediction to become reality, Toxic needs five things:
1. Excellent advance booking
The early momentum needs to continue.
2. Strong opening-day occupancy
Morning shows need to convert the pre-release excitement into actual footfall.
3. A strong Hindi market
The pan-India strategy cannot depend only on Karnataka and the South.
4. Healthy overseas numbers
International markets could be the difference between ₹90 crore and ₹100 crore worldwide.
5. Positive audience reaction
If the film connects, Saturday and Sunday could explode.
Yash has already changed the perception of Kannada cinema with KGF.
Toxic represents another test.
This time, the question isn't whether Yash can create a blockbuster in Karnataka.
The question is:
If Toxic opens around ₹100 crore worldwide, the answer will be difficult to dispute.
It would immediately become one of the biggest opening-day stories of 2026.
At this stage, CineReview is taking a bold position.
Is it guaranteed?
No.
Is it ambitious?
Absolutely.
Is it possible?
The early advance-booking response has given Yash the momentum.
The huge worldwide release gives Toxic the capacity.
Now the audience has to provide the final ingredient.
The roar.
What do you think Toxic will actually collect worldwide on Day 1?
₹50 crore? ₹75 crore? ₹100 crore? Or can Yash go even higher?
Drop your prediction.
Because on August 26, the real box-office battle begins.
